All You Need To Know About Portable Battery

Portable battery packs are a convenient way to keep your devices powered up when you’re on the go. They come in a variety of sizes and capacities, so you can find one that’s perfect for your needs. Most packs include a charging cable, so you can easily recharge the pack itself and your devices. They are small enough to fit in your pocket or purse, which means you can take them practically anywhere.

Different Types of Portable Battery Packs:

The two main types of portable battery packs are external batteries and USB-powered batteries. The type that you choose depends on the devices that you plan to charge. Most external battery packs can be charged via a USB port, but not all USB-powered batteries are rechargeable.

External Battery Packs:

Oftentimes users will purchase external battery packs that include adapters to plug into wall outlets. Some models also come with car chargers so you can use them in your vehicle as well. The advantage of these types of packs is that they typically charge faster than the smaller versions; however, they may be too large for easy transport. External battery packs are great for phones and tablets because they provide enough power to charge an iPhone 4 times or a Samsung Galaxy S3 four times before needing to be recharged themselves. These models typically cost between $30-$100 depending on the capacity (mAh) and how many devices can be charged at once.

External Battery Packs for a Single Device:

For a more portable option, you can purchase single-device gadgets that consist of a battery pack and charging cable in one. Some examples include the Powermonkey, Lepow Moonstone 6000mAh external battery charger, and EasyAcc Monster 20000mAh external battery pack. These models are great because they don’t require any extra cords to charge your devices; however, since only one device can be charged at a time, you’ll need to buy several packs to keep all of your devices powered up throughout the day. Most larger capacity models cost between $25-$60 while smaller options may cost as little as $9.

USB-Powered Batteries:

USB-powered batteries are battery packs that use USB ports (typically 1A and 5V) to recharge and do not come with any cords. These models typically cost between $20-$30; however, their charging output is limited to what the USB port provides (1A).

Charging Rates:

All battery packs will state what they can charge in terms of mAh (milliamp hours), which determines how many times a device such as an iPhone can be charged from 0-100% before needing to be recharged themselves. This number varies by manufacturer and model; however, most portable chargers range from 2200mAh-10000mAh. Keep this number in mind when purchasing a pack so you know if it’s capable of charging your devices multiple times before needing to be recharged.

Portable Battery Pack Options:

There are several options on the market, but some of the most popular brands include Anker, EasyAcc, iMuto, Lepow, Mipow, RavPower, and Zendure. These companies offer many styles of battery packs at different price points; however, most brands have similar features for their products. Some of these commonalities include:

Multiple Charging Ports – Most models come with USB ports that support 2A input so they charge quickly.

LED Indicators – All models will tell you how much juice is left so you know when it’s time to recharge them. They typically blink or change color as the power dwindles to 20%.

Protection – The majority of portable battery packs have a safety mechanism that prevents the device from overcharging, overheating, or short-circuiting. They also have built-in protection against surges and will automatically power off when not in use.

There are a variety of portable battery packs on the market that offer different features, so it’s important to consider what you need before making your purchase. If you want something lightweight and easy-to-carry around with multiple USB ports for charging devices at once, then an external battery pack may be best for you. On the other hand, if portability isn’t as important but speed is key (since these models charge fast), or if you’re looking for something affordable without all the bells and whistles, then a single device charger will work better. No matter which style of model suits your needs best, just make sure to keep in mind how much power capacity it has and how many times it can recharge your smartphone or tablet before needing to be recharged itself.
